Chapter 9
It was just another Christmas at Finches Landing. The good thing was I could bring my air rifle. Also, the food was great that Aunt Alexandra cooked. She always was a good cook. At dinner, I got to sit at the adult table this year. But poor Scout had to sit all alone because this year Francis got to sit at the adult table to. Why? I don' know. I think he is still a lit' young to. I knew somethin' bad was gonna happen and I knew Scout didn't like Francis and all. I got a kick out of the adults faces as I laid on the floor, when they heard Scout and Francis in the back yard. Scout had punched him square in the face, it was hilarious!So, that Christmas was ruined.
Chapter 10
My dad, One Shot Finch. That's right. You believe it! I knew Atticus couldn' be just old and borin'. He had to have a talent or somethin'.. When I saw him take that gun from Heck, I thought the whole town was done for, and we min as well all commit suicide. But then all of a sudden, he was all relaxed and the gun looked like it was a part of him! It was crazy! I'd never expected him to know how to even hold a gun, let alone shoot a mad dog wit' one.
Chapter 11
Atticus says its not nice to hate somebody, but all I can say is that I hate that old stinkin' lady, Mrs. Dubose. I had to read to her for a month and an extra week. All 'cause I chopped off some of her stupid camellia bushes. But I'm glad Scout came with me so I didn't have to go in that scary house alone. I don't think she even listened to me as I read to her for three hours. If that olden had just kept her trap shut, I wouldn' of had to experience those terrible hours in her dark house. Why did she have to talk 'bout Atticus. It ain't fair, he didn't do anythin wrong.

Atticus was so surprisin' wasn't he? I could not believe he did that and that he never told us that he was old one shot. Do ya' think he was ashamed? I reckon I wouldn't have been. Ms. Dubose was crazy. I kinda feel bad that she died though. I wish that I wasn't so mean to her but she was mean to us so guess its not all my fault. I couldn't believe you lost your head. Everyone thought it would be me, I even thought it would be me, but i couldn't believe you kicked me. I forgive ya though.

ReplyDeletei like aunt Alexandras food too but i really don't like her! that Francis got me so mad! he deserved to be punched in the mouth. i wanted to do that for awile. i was so surprized when Atticus shot that poor dog. I didnt no he could do that. i am glad Ms Dubose is gone she was so nasty and mean. i no it sounds mean but thats the way it is.

ReplyDeleteJem, i didn't like how you gotta sit at the adult table! I wanted to be there so badly... The food was okay, i didn't really enjoy it, but it was alright.You were right, that Francis boy better keep his trap shut! He was too young to sit at that table with all the adults. I swear i'd oughta beat him up better...
Chapter 10
I couldnt believe what i was seein' either! Our dad, the old man who lives with us, was the best shooter ever! did you see the way he shot that gun... That dog was mad it was scary when every one was freakin' out. I never would of guessed he could holda' gun. It was scary.
Chapter 11
Eh, that lady was a lil' mean but i feel bad she died. I didn't know she was that sick. She was scary too. I hated readin' that book to her. That alarm scared the bigeebers outa me! Well i feel kinda bad she is gone now...
